About Flick

Less deciding. More watching.

You know the scroll: forty minutes of thumbnails, one tired argument, and then the same comfort rewatch. Flick exists to end it.
The idea

Choice isn’t the gift. Choosing is.

Streaming gave everyone everything, and made picking harder than watching. Flick doesn’t add another catalog to scroll. It listens to what you want tonight, narrows the world to three films, and tells you — in plain, checkable terms — why each one fits.

Principles

Four rules we don’t bend.

01

Three, not thirty

A decision needs a shortlist, not a feed. Three picks, deliberately different.

02

Reasons, not ratings

Every pick shows the facts that matched. No made-up scores, no mystery.

03

Taste stays private

What you love lives on your device. No account to make, no profile to sell.

04

Honest about limits

When little fits, we say so and label near-misses. We’d rather admit a gap than invent an answer.

What Flick isn’t

Three things we’ll never become.

A streaming service

We don’t host or play films. We point you at where to look.

A giant database

85 hand-checked films plus a 1,803-film catalog from 1980 to 2026 — every fact traceable to its source.

A social network

No followers, no feeds, no performing your taste.

The only number we care about

Time to decide.

Flick is an experiment with one job: get you from “what should we watch?” to the opening scene faster. If it doesn’t, we’ll change it — or stop.
